Hot Pilates FAQ

Your Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know before your first hot Pilates class in Marlboro, NJ.

What is hot Pilates?

Hot Pilates is mat-based Pilates and sculpt work done in a heated room. At Sana Sculpt we use infrared panels, so the warmth feels gentle and even while you move through low-impact strength, core and flexibility work.

How hot is the room?

Our studio is heated to around 90°F with infrared panels. Infrared warms you directly rather than blasting hot air, so most people find it comfortable even on their first visit.

Is hot Pilates good for beginners?

Yes. Every class offers options for each move, and instructors cue modifications throughout. SANA Signature Sculpt and SANA Stretch are great first classes, and our new client offer gives you three classes for $32 to find your fit.

What should I wear?

Wear fitted, breathable workout clothes that you are comfortable sweating in. Leggings or shorts and a supportive top work well. Grip socks or sneakers are recommended.

What should I bring?

Bring your own mat, a towel and a full water bottle. Arrive hydrated, and plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for your first class so the team can show you around.

How many calories does hot Pilates burn?

It depends on your body, the class format and how hard you work, so we do not quote a fixed number. Faster formats like SANA Shred raise your heart rate more, while Shape and Signature focus on strength and control.

What is the difference between hot Pilates and hot yoga?

Hot yoga flows through yoga postures, often in a very hot, humid room. Hot Pilates focuses on core strength, controlled sculpting movements and light weights, in a warm room heated by infrared rather than forced hot air.

Is infrared heat safe?

Infrared heat is widely used in fitness studios and saunas, and our room stays at a moderate temperature. Listen to your body, hydrate, and step out or rest whenever you need to. If you have a medical condition, check with your doctor first.

Can I come if I am pregnant?

Heat is not recommended for everyone. If you are pregnant, please speak with your doctor before taking a heated class, and let your instructor know before class begins.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel through the booking system to free your spot for the waitlist. The exact cancellation window is shown at checkout in Mariana Tek.

How early should I arrive?

Studio doors open 20 minutes before class. Arriving 10 minutes early gives you time to set up your mat and settle into the warmth.

Do you offer memberships?

Yes. Memberships are month to month and can be paused or cancelled from your account. See current options on the pricing page.
